Maryann Kizima

Director of Corporate Management

Maryann is a senior executive that brings over 25 years of human resources, recruiting, corporate management and administrative leadership experience to Bakken Energy. Maryann has previously partnered with Steven Lebow and Lebow & Co. providing human resources and corporate management leadership to entrepreneurial companies in various industries.

Previously, Maryann was the Chief of Human Resources and Office Services Manager at Third Avenue Management (TAM). A New York City based asset manager that utilizes a disciplined, value-oriented, and asset-based approach to investing in publicly traded securities.

Prior to working with TAM, Maryann was the Director of Human Resources at Sagent Advisors Inc., a New York City based investment banking firm, for over a decade from 2004 – 2016. At Sagent, Maryann led all the Human Resources functions including but not limited to recruiting, training, performance management as well as management of the support staff. Maryann was an integral part in growing the firm from founding to over 125 employees in 5 US cities, with alliances in Europe, South America and Asia. Sagent (DCS Advisory) was acquired by Daiwa Capital Markets, of Japan, in 2017.

Earlier in her career, Maryann held various administrative and management positions at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette’s Investment Banking Group in New York, NY, a well-known investment bank founded by William H. Donaldson, Richard Jenrette and Dan Lufkin headquartered in New York City with over 11,300 employees in multiple cities and countries. DLJ was sold to Credit Suisse in August 2000. She also worked in an administrative capacity for IBM in New Jersey.
